So I get home yesterday, at about 4:20pm and as I walk in to my lovely home I yell "HUNNY I'M HOME!".
Why did I get home at 4:20pm when I am usually home at 3:02pm you ask? Well my friend that is because I joined track. I did it because I wanted to get some exercise, to stay fit and such.
And I'm sure your all saying to yourself
"Why does she need exercise she has the body of a goddess."
And although that is true, it's still good to get exercise. Now back to the story.
So me and my friend joined track about a week ago, but it started yesterday. So I went out and bought a nice track outfit, something warm because we were going to go outside and I didn't want to die, form coldness. And wasn't that just the stupidest thing ever done. It was so hot out yesterday that everyone else was wearing shorts, but not me. I was wearing a nice black pair of sweatpants, white running shoes, a black shirt, and a bright pink and white sweater.
And yes I looked very retarded.
So we get out there and right away we have to run a lap around the track field, no walking. And of coarse that kills me and my friend. But that's not all, after our run we have to do warm-up stretches. Not the good kind either, the bad kind. They mostly consisted of arm hugs, crunches, jumpies, 4 count push-ups, enhanced 4 count push-ups, homoerotic leg turns, and my favorite, I want to dies (made up names). And those were just the warm-ups, can you even imagine what the work out could be?
Well I can, because I was there!!! We had to run around the track 2 more times. Then switch units. In the next unit we had to set up the starting blocks and sprint across the pavement. Then we switched again and we had to work out more. You know your basic jumping-jacks, push-ups, crunches, boogies, and leg-lifts (not made up names). After that we once again switched units, and our unit teacher told us what we need to be in track. But don't worry because after that we had to run the track again. Then we ran (we couldn't walk) to the lockers, the whole time my friend was asking people if they could carry about 115lb. (her weight), most were confused but i helped by telling them that she was doing a project on if anyone could carry a large sack of potatoes, needless to say she didn't like being called a sack of potatoes and was forced to push tired me into a wall wile we were running. When we got to the lockers we changed slowly and were almost late for the late bus.
Then we went home, and when I got there, I made myself a bowl of left-over noodles from the night before. UM!
And now I feel like I'm going to die, my legs hurt from all those boogies. (You'd think I was kidding, but no those basturds hunt)
The moral of the story is...
Don't work out, it's not worth it.

Awww, did you think you wouldn't have to exercise? :~)
Seriously, it WILL get easier... probably not tomorrow and probably not the next day... but little by little you'll notice you're able to go a little further before you feel like you're going to pass out and die. I actually don't know if you ever lose the pass out and die feeling, maybe we just adapt to it?
Anyway, you'll be glad you have that warm track suit when it snows in May (you never know... the weather's been goofy)
Keep on tracking you track star you!
I was in track too when I was your age and yes it DID suck complete ass for like thee first few weeks but then it did get easier... seriously, it did!
Hang in there!! Now go do some boogies and leggie thingies! HAHA!
i kinda feel your pain today honey. i have spent the last 2 days racking our yard to get it cleaned up and now I hurt in places I didn't even know I had. stick with it!!! it WILL get better!!!! let us know when you win those track meets. hope you feel better soon.
homoerotic leg turns?
I love "I want to dies". Bernie makes me do those. I especially like it when your legs start to vibrate and you think that you might actually pass out from the pain. :)
Okay, so it's not easy maintaining the body of a goddess. Can't have the sweet without the sour.
Love you! Hope you have fun at track this week...
